civic. lasted over 100k as if it had just been driven off the lot. oil and tire rotation and balance are the only things i had to do to it. it was a 98 civic, too. wife and her sister both have both a 2004 and 2007 civic. same thing for theirs as well.

1969 Firebird, 250 OHC inline 6 cylinder , which was blown up and in pieces. My father and I rebuilt it and I drive it for 2 1/2 years until it again gave up. Traded it for a 1975 Toyota Celica GT.

1974 VW Bug with a Baja kit on it.
Didn't last long after I loaned it to my brother to drive to B'ham from Alexander City.
I think he drove it wide open the whole way, because shortly after that trip it started knocking, and broke a rod.
My best memories are the freedom of driving, and listening to Aerosmith PUMP, and Sir Mix-a-Lot SWASS.

My first car is still running fine. It's been a dozen years, although I didn't drive it regularly at least 4 of those years.

2005 Chevy silverado. It's still running like a beast doing work and hauling shite whenever my dad needs it.
My next vehicle is going to be a Chevy Tahoe in the range of 2009-2014.

1966 Ford Fairlane convertible in I got in 69. Cam shaft broke in 71. Only Ford I've ever owned.

My first vehicle was a 1993 Chevy Silverado truck, handed down from my grandfather in 2001. He'd just retired from farming, so it had 130,000 hard miles on it. It lasted me (barely) through 3 years of high school and my freshman year in college before a Blues Brothers-esque falling apart.
It was a piece, but I made a lot of great memories in that thing. It pains me when I see high school kids driving essentially brand new cars.

'83 Toyota Tercel, copper-colored, great uncle gave it to me in 9th grade in '93, already had 100k miles on it when I got it. That ugly little thing went everywhere, including 4 wheeler trails in the local wildlife management area. I put 90k miles on it in 6 years and dad sold it to one of his former students who proceeded to make 3 round trips from Biloxi to Salt Lake City and still had it running in 2003.

88 Pontiac GRAND AM except I moved the M so it said Pontiac GRANDMA. Lasted me a couple years -- put that car through hell and back, including smashing it head-on into a concrete pillar on Poydras.

Were you OK after the accident with the 18-wheeler?
I am now, but I woke up the next day in the hospital and was told I had died on the ride to the hospital.
Didn't remember anything, took a long time to remember things from my past and now it's still pretty foggy. Really bad year for me.
