Stratego!! Yes- forgot about that one. We played that one a lot too. Along with Monopoly, Risk, Life, Chinese Checkers, battleship, and later Trivial pursuit, oh and someone mentioned Staying Alive! Does anyone remember the memory game from Parker Brothers called ‘Snapshot’?

Monopoly. I would stomp my dad's arse every time and it would irk him. On the flip side, I only beat him in chess twice.

Not my favorite, but we played the heck out of Monopoly. Never finished the game and always ended in a fight. Good times

Most popular answer I see. Funny since this was my choice too yet outside of playing with my brother I never went to anyone else’s house growing up that had this game. Apparently it’s very popular in Europe though. I still play this online with my bro to this day and just about everyone on the site is from Northern Europe and where all the world champions have been from (Netherlands, Germany, UK)

I loved most every game already mentioned.

We had this game from the 60s called Go For Broke which was basically the opposite of monopoly. You started with a million in $$ and the winner is the first to spend it all

I’m not sure we ever played by the actual rules but it was fun enough

Monopoly, The Game of Life, Yahtzee, Trivial Pursuit, Chutes and Ladders, checkers, Sorry, Trouble, Candyland, Connect Four, Boggle, Pictionary, Battleship, etc.

Thankful for this thread cuz it reminds me of the days in the 90s playing board games like this with my siblings and parents all the time, when times were much simpler and more fun.
