I've never really seen or heard of people having issues with the CAT system, its more so just to make sure you are on track so you can graduate. I am sure if you talk to your counselor on the situation and retake it you would be fine
Are you on track with the rest of your courses in your major? If its just this one class shouldn't be a big deal at all, just retake it.

What's your major?
Have you dropped or failed this class before?
Is this calc 1,2,or 3?
If you're a junior and if you've already failed calc 1 it may be in your best interest to change majors. If your major requires calc 1, it's probably a pre req for several other courses. If this is your first time taking it, it isn't a big deal to retake it, but if you've failed it before, it's highly unlikely you'll pass it in the future if you haven't gotten it in two tries.
