During the 80's it was a tie between the Chimes, the Caterie, and the Bengal.
All three had great drink specials, live music, and a good layout.
Around the world at the Chimes
Great food and pool or fooseball at the Caterie
Great drinks, dance floor, and pool or fooseball at the Bengal.
Closing down the Bengal to "Captain Jack" was a pretty sure fire way to not go home alone. (although you might have to lower your standards on some nights).

I remember the Bengal had drinkin on Lincoln. All you could drink for 5 bucks. This was late 80s early 90s. It's still amazing to me and seems like they would have lost money on that.

My dad always claimed it was Rips Huddle(now the Bald Eagle) in the 50s-60s.
From my Generation(90s) I'l go with Southdowns. Their Halloween parking lot party was legendary.

How you not gonna mention the Cotton Club. I mean we were barely old enough to reach the shuffleboard pucks when it was open but I remember it!

My first beer at a bar was at the Library on Chimes street. I was 16 and thinking to myself just be cool man. It was a giant draft beer for $1.

I consider The Cotton Club a restaurant. It gets mentioned in my book.
See you tomorrow.

You're nothing if you didn't pop your collar and BMW over to the Bombay Bicycle Club in the mid-80's.
