This will sound like a cliche but it crystallized for me when I read The Catcher in the Rye at age 15. Not even joking.

My mother passed away. I rushed home to check on my step dad and his adult children were there. The daughter was shoveling my mom's medication into her purse while mom's corpse was lying on the ground in the living room. To answer your questions, yes they are from Abita Springs.

Ok, what does that have to do with you not knowing it wasn’t the suburbs?

Seemed to have a profound effect on a lot of folks. It definitely reinforced my growing cynicism.

Exactly this. For every shitty person there are 10000 nice people. People volunteer their time and money every day. People care for their neighbors. The good is all around you baw. You can’t filter everyone as bad because of the actions of one person. There are many, many good baws and bawettes out there. You just have to notice them.

This is a fricking lie lmao. I’d love it to be true but ask yourself two questions. How many people are willing to spend real time and/or money to help others WITHOUT attempting to gain something? Now ask yourself how many people are so selfish they can’t be asked to do something simple for others(return a cart at a store, be patient with someone in public, do their job well, not speed up just to prevent someone from merging, hold a door for someone elderly, etc.) and get back to me.

I butt up to a neighboring property that the landowner lives on and keeps his German shepherd in a 6’x6’ pin in south Texas. The dog barks all day out of boredom and desperation and there’s not a damn thing I can do about it. Cops said rural land as long as it has food and water there’s nothing they csn do. I’d like to put that piece of shite neighbor in a 6x6 box in 100 degree weather and see how he feels

Never ever try and talk to your ex wife in a logical manner, or reason again!!!! She’s already been done with you for awhile. Was fricking other guys in the meantime, and is trying to mind game you!!

Look at it as buisiness agreement!! You have to put any emotion. Beside!!! The new world has women believing they are in control, and they own the world!!!

Which the courts and everyone else says they do…

Fight your arse off, but be ready to pay!!

Yall are really offended about high school sports. The only difference is I don’t reference them as an excuse for my 35 BMI

Nice edit for, according to the board cryptologist lemmylives himself, Shakespeare 2.0. To be a runt savant of the English language, I've noticed you have the grammar skills of a teenager when talking down to grown men on the internet.

One of my friends was dating a super hot girl. But they started fighting alot. My other friend started convincing him to dump her. He eventually did. Then the other friend was dating her two weeks later. What an a-hole. They never spoke again.

Here’s a motto I live by… when it comes down to it, nobody really cares about anybody else. I mean really cares. You could die tomorrow and for everybody else, life just goes on. You would be forgotten in a week or two. I think the only exception is parents and their kids.

Be wary of people who check the legal ads for bankruptcy, divorce and foreclosure, that really have no reason to, and then spread the “news”.

When I got my first corporate style 9-5 job.

I worked for myself until my early 30's and was totally unaware of how stress free my job was comparatively. One day I was offered a pretty compelling position and took it.

I was blown away about how vindictive and conniving people were when I got in that world.
