That had to be in the top three of college cars at LSU in the 80s. I knew 6 or 7 people who had RX-7s. The only two cars that seemed to come close were the Olds Cutlass and the Buick Regal.

One of my neighbors has a late 80s or early 90s Chevy 1500. He must get bugged constantly about selling it, because he has signs taped to the windows that say "This truck is not for sale. it is my daily driver."
There's an older guy in my town that picked up a '95 extendo cab K1500 with 60k miles on it a couple years ago. Rust free.
It's his daily driver, including the winter. so it won't be rust free for long.

'72 split bumper Camaro

I had a 70-1/2 Camaro with split bumper. I thought 72 model was last before the full bumper?

The split bumper was part of the RS package. Standard was a one piece bumper on the 70-73 Camaros. Most had the one piece bumper.
74 was a styling change that included a much larger/heavier front bumper to meet government crash standards requiring cars to be able to take a 5 mph front hit without body damage.

'69 Chevelle SS 396, 325 HP. Had a standard tranny, radio and A/C. Said I would have to sell it if gas prices got above $0.50/gal. Held off until it hit $0.62.

F-Type R. Non-AWD.
I've driven everything under the sun, and that's the only only one that I had to watch my 6.
Loved it anyway...

1996 Toyota 4runner Limited. Bought it a year old in late 97. Thing was a chick magnet in the late 90's. Had it for 8 years. I miss it.
Not mine, but exactly what it looked like

For me, it was a 59 Harley Davidson Panhead I bought for $500 that I brought home in laundry hampers, crab hampers and 5 gallon buckets.
It was all in parts, but a complete motorcycle with the exception of the wiring and a seat. I spent 2 weeks cleaning it up and putting it all back together just to get it running and see if any ideas came to me to fix it up better down the road.
Six months later I took it all apart and did a deep rework of the frame, all the tins (front and rear fenders, gas tank, oil tank chain guard, etc.) and put a black paint job on all the parts.
Everything chrome got polished to like new and the aluminum engine and transmission parts got a serious buffing to make they shine like new.
Kept that bike for 4 years and sold it when my wife got pregnant and I had 2 other working bikes in the shed.
Should have kept the bike and got rid of her before she got pregnant....but that's another story.
