To stop the itching? I’m desperate

I’ve read that applying cool mayonnaise works well, or room temperature olive oil.

Generally, prescription-strength steroids. Try a local urgent care if one is open.

steroids if you can catch it really early, but if youre already super itchy its probably too late. calamine lotion, google home remedies. maybe some neosporin to prevent infection if scratching heavily. but its mostly just something youll deal with for a bit.

Run some cool / cold water on it
Pat dry and apply aloe
You can get the shot from a dermatologist but, It’s gonna have to run it’s course/ 8 or 10 days…

Hold a blow dryer on it until you can’t stand it. You will feel it stop itching. If you have anything to put on it, do it after you use the blow dryer. Hot water works too. Heat helps open the pores to stop the itching. I’ve done this for 40 years on poison ivy and mosquito bites. It works for me.

If it’s itching rub it with topical cortisone and if you have any oral prednisone take it for 2/3 days keep applying the cortisone also take some allergy med like Zyrtec etc you will be fine nothing is as bad as that loss last night

Cortisone ointment.
But you can also hit it with piping hot water if you are desperate for temporary relief.

In the future, if you want to prevent it, use Dawn liquid and scrub the affected area as if you are trying to remove burnt axle grease off of you. Poison oak and ivy are oils and you get the oil off in reasonable time you won't get it!

Run hot water over the itching area. Keep increasing the temp as u can handle it. After a few minutes the itching will stop.
You will drain the hystimine from the cells for about 12 hours. Benadryl only helps for 4-6 hrs
