Why I will always say HOA's are necessary evils. Easy to poop on, but when you need issues resolved...

That said, this happened to father in law when he was at HCA. Had a guy who never missed work, didn't show up for a week, no family...

When they opened his door, said he'll never forget the smell. Guy had cat & dog and they shot out house when they opened the door

Maybe your neighbor is waiting for a loved one to get home. Example, someone in the military is overseas and has told said person,we will celebrate Christmas when you get home.

Check the mail box. If it's full, bingo.

Go to the tax assessor's website. Input the address, and find out who owns the house. See if they have a landline. If so, call it. I'm interested now, and would like a conclusion to this story asap

It's only been a month. Usually takes 2 cycles for them to cut if it's not paid, correct?

And if he paid in early January it could easily be only a week late

If no one is dead, that's pretty annoying. If someone is dead that's pretty terrible.

Is the mailbox on the street or at the door?

Starting this thread made me more interested in the story than resolving it

As of now it's still up like usual. No sign of life. I have stuff to do today but will look up tonight.

Mailbox is on street. Nothing unusual looking

Being dead is no excuse to still have Christmas decorations up. The nerve of some people!

Ignore it. It's not hurting anything. They're paying the electricity to run the motor.

It's very weird though, don't get me wrong.

If you're really concerned, you can call the police on their non-emergency number and ask them to do a welfare check

Before you do this, check the backyard for a dog. Because the first thing the cops will do is shoot it immediately.
