Thanks for all the good information everybody. This is more than enough info for them to put a weekend together. Appreciate all the smartass comments as well. The board would suck without them.

not in Mamou, but Naq's in Duson is pretty cool. live music basically all weekend. Kevin Naquin (Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys) opened last year.

Friday: 11am – 9pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 10pm
Sunday: 10am – 2pm

We’re also your destination for live music Thursday through Saturday, with special Cajun/Zydeco breakfasts on Saturday mornings that combine rhythm and flavor like never before.

Big Mamou or Little Mamou, they were several miles apart in 1972. Attended the Catholic Church wedding of a friend and is was located near the water tower. At the reception, witnessed the kids have difficulty with opening the fold lock top sandwich bags.

Yes I tried it 5 or 6 years ago and it was very disappointing. Didn’t look like or taste anything like the original. Maybe I hit them on a bad day.

As a resident of Mamou, I average 900 miles a week on a vehicle due to there being absolutely nothing in and around Mamou. You can accomplish all of your list in 17 minutes. Find another destination.

Make sure you go eat crawfish at Hawk's. Best I've ever had, and I've had a lot.

If you’re at a bar on a Saturday morning, you kinda have to take what you get.
