Some scum and their pitbulls moved in about three blocks from us in NOLA. Several months later solid wood true divided light doors appeared on the curb for trash pick up. We asked the guy working on the house if we could have them. Sure he said, but did you see how the dogs chewed up the muntons on the lower two tiers of windows.
We went to a local carpenter, found matching muntons (he gave them to us after we explained why we needed them) and we rebuilt the doors. They one is in the French Quarter, the other is on our back hallway in the farm house we renovated in east Tennessee.
We'll never know if the dog was teething or trying to chew his way out. Nor do we care.

The landlord and HOA responded that eviction is in now process since that type is dog is prohibited.
Be sure to update us in a couple of years when something actually happens.

Well since the neighbors rent the home where the dog resides, I let the Landlord and HOA know what was going on. I let them know a complaint has been filed with the police department and a citation and order for containment is coming tomorrow.

You handled it like a mature adult. Good job.

Well hell you should have let us know it is a rental.
Please send a certified letter to the owner of the house with those details. He will then be on notice and liable for any mishaps.
Sounds like they are in agreement with it being a problem.

Anybody who does this is a piece of garbage. If you're gonna kill something kill it quick.

Better hope you don’t have a pit bull coming at ya throat in the middle of the night once they know you’re the rat.

How dare you besmirch the breed of peace.

Did you talk to the neighbor first?
Anyone trashy enough to have a loose pit isn't worth talking to, call animal control and police

Serious question, how low must a person's intelligence be to own a pit bull?
