I keep asking and you keep avoiding answering. Do you think that legitimacy implies truth?

I'm not avoiding anything, this just has frick all to do with what I was trying to figure out. Again, I'm not the one trying to delegitimize anyone's beliefs.

I would like to know what evidence was considered legitimate, whatever that word means to TBoy

People really need to stop trying to predict this thing. It's going to happen when it happens most likely on a random day nobody expects

one last time and I’ll leave it be. What do you mean when you use the word “delegitimize” or “legitimate”?

I'm still waiting on the answer to that question myself. Not sure how you're not getting that

It's been wrong the many thousands of times it's been predicted throughout history.

But this time they were gonna be right.

Yes! I worked with a guy who sold all his shite, car, TV, gave all his clothes away, everything. The day of the "rapture" he did not come to work. We all said well I guess he was taken. Showed up a couple days later with ratty clothes on and just said "well I guess I was wrong" and that's all he said.

Just be careful. If they don't let your dog go with you, it isn't Heaven.

What if losing all the rapture believers makes the world a better place?

For you most likely. You can practice your fairy religion and dance in dresses in front of children all you want and no one will complain.

The Bible makes it pretty clear that not even the angels know when Christ will return so there is no way I’m trusting anyone on Earth knowing when it will happen. However the Bible also gives multiple signs that are coming to pass right now so for a collection of books written thousands of years ago to start nailing current events I am thinking it is close.

I agree with this it's hard to imagine that we aren't really close but these people running around saying I know exactly when it's going to be are just going to keep making a fool of themselves

I guess I can relax then. May we all be lifted by his holy tentacles and blessed by his noodly appendage

Just read the article.

How in the hell did some guy in S Africa get his idea about a date of rapture to become so widely known?

Has it been such a slow news month, that the 5,000 time such a thing was predicted, people around the globe are still fascinated by it and anticipating it today?

It's a paradox - if we keep predicting it to come, it'll never come, because it can't be predicted
