I swear I wrote Kraft about this a few years ago. I told the zipper on the long side of the bag. They thanked me for the feedback but told me product development ideas were basically secret. Hence, if they ever put the zipper on the long side, you can thank me bitches.

Why don't you shake the cheese to the edge or just sprinkle it from the bag like someone with all their chromosomes?

My hands aren't steady enough to sift cheese out of the bag. I prefer the pinching method. Pinch the cheese. It's quicker and you can audible your pinch size depending on how much you want.
