Fireballs, BB tubes, candy cigarettes, those wax coke bottles, and occasionally a bread for mom.

Space Dust candy - the demand for that stuff on the black market in elementary school was off the charts and only one place had it.

Topps Baseball cards with powered gum.
Hershey bars with almonds.
Whatever video game they had inside that dark hole.
Always enjoyed an orange sunkist can.

Big Gulps, Big League Chew, MAD Magazine, those kites with eyes (the black ones were way cooler than those bunk white hawk looking ones!), balsa wood airplanes (with and w/o rubber band propeller), and of course whatever 2 video games were currently in store....... how I miss the 7-11! Solid post!

Dad would give us a $1.00 or $2.00 to buy him smokes and the rest went for candy.
I realized I could make a fortune making my own cinnamon toothpicks. Bought the cinnamon oil at K&B Drug . Learned the hard way you need to wrap them well when you store them in your front pocket. Right after we played with the mercury from a broken thermometer.
Loved the plastic football Icee cups too. Had to pull out the one for the game you were watching.

Yeah, I ruined my 8th grade science book by putting some home made cinnamon toothpicks wrapped in waxed paper between the pages. That cinnamon oil bled through a bunch of chapters, but it sure smelled good.
