What society really feared about Manson was his skill at persuading and controlling people

Devil or no, the man had a gift at getting people to do what he wanted. Just a shame that such a talent was trapped up in such an evil person.
If you watch some of his interviews you can see that despite being batshit crazy he seems to start winning over the person interviewing him.
Don’t kid yourselves that many of the people who put him away want the same ability, but for different reasons

That could have been a great Mad Men story arc.

He had a way with women. Could manipulate them better than anyone

The ability to speak is the powerful attribute on the planet.

I remember seeing some doc a while back that apparently he was fricking all of them every day. Like he had it regimented out for them to take turns with him pretty much all day. That and the LSD apparently made them putty in his hands.

He studied Scientology and Dale Carnegie for this exact reason, manipulation.
There’s a good new podcast out “Young Charlie” that has two hosts which alternate between his childhood and the crime.

Society feared his chili recipe, so spicy it'll give you the quivering shits.

It's a big reason they do not put Islamic fundamentalist in prison with the normal shitheads.
They already have many of them converting to nation of islam, no need to let them also have these idiots persuading them to get even more extreme

Meanwhile twitter mourns Marilyn Manson
"Charles Manson did so much for music in the 90's"
"Charles Manson's dead but his music lives on" #dopeshow
"RIP Charles Manson" #takentoosoon

No, he had a gift for finding people who would and taking advantage. Not the same thing at all.
Sort of like someone who spends all his time looking for desperate women and damn the consequences. It's a great recipe for getting laid regularly but dealing with the fallout after can be a bitch.

The guy was 3 feet high. Whatever it is about the human mind makes it absolutely zero in on charisma, whether it's females or males. The very definition of charisma is personal magnetism, we were all fascinated by Manson because there have been few public figures that were as "attractive" as that fricked up man. He had a homecoming queen stabbing a pregnant movie star, guess I'm going of on a tangent but human personalities fascinate me
