I used to work with a guy from Buffalo. He said he and his brothers would have to jump out of the upstairs windows to get outside because of snow drifts against the doors. Being from Alabama that much snow blows my mind.

Pro tip-Don't wait til it stops snowing to start plowing/shoveling.

Also, why leave the vehicles outside his apparently empty 2 car garage?

Plow truck drivers are cocksuckers.

My sister used to live in Peoria. She would send me videos of those occurrences.

Guess why they moved South when they retired.

Problem in the areas is that many of the plow people get gigs cleaning the streets for the government (big bucks) and can only start cleaning homes two or three days later and by then the snow is like cement. It's really best to shovel while it is still snowing.

How are you supposed to manage that? Go out in the middle of a snowstorm and start shoveling? You have that much snow where you are?

Yes. (Although I have a plow on my tractor to do most of it)

Not as much as Buffalo, but 20" of wet snow will bust your arse, or give you a heart attack, if you wait until all 20 are on the ground.

I've plowed/shoveled 3 times for one storm before to stay ahead of it.

This will shock you, but people in the north look out for their neighbors. It’s really not that big of a deal.
