Look up large yoga mat on Amazon. I use one in a spare bedroom I converted into a bike workshop and it works great.

Canvas drop cloth. It really pulls the room together.

Don't these weight like eleventy billion pounds? It takes a horse to mess them up but they are heavy.

Yeah I used 4 of them with some black duct tape to cover up the seams in my home gym. They're heavy as shite and would probably stain the carpet underneath

They are heavy, but they are heavy duty as well. They work great for covering floors you don't want to damage.

I have pulled carpet up and when I had to move out just reinstall it its not hard just rent a carpet stretcher if there is a seam just cut it and buy seam tape.

or the rubber mats would work

Build a very thing plywood platform. Cover it in linoleum or tile, and some kind of spill protection along the edge. You could even just Banksy the plywood if you don't mind a rougher look.

Laminate flooring underlayment then gym mats on top. That should contain all semen spills.
