You’d feel different if you had a daughter.

I say let the girls’ fathers spend about 5 minutes alone each with these boys.
You’d want 5 minutes alone with an underage boy?

Lancaster PA has Amish. But is not an amish community
Maybe 15 % is amish.

60 weekends of trash pick up duty on the side of the road; followed by 60 public speeches to other teens confessing their crime and lessons learned!
I also think the punishment should be the equivalent to what it would be if the images were real.

Possession and distribution of child porn. Real or fake is illegal as hell.

As a father of both a boy and girl, I have mixed feelings. I do not think they should face jail time, however the hours of community service should be quadrupled and I think a ban from internet related devices until 21 would be sufficient.

Lifetime social media ban.

The fact that’s where your mind went tells me you need to be barred from living within 500 feet of school and have your name put on a registry.

That’s it. Law school should be mandated in this country just as much as home economics. Hardaases sitting behind computers always threatening vigilante justice as tech progresses. These boys’ parents suck. Need better families with real parents. Not baws saying “give me a minute with them” when you’d prolly get your arse kicked

Not trying to be all edgy but what's the actual crime?

How do you enforce this though? They can get their friends', etc...
It's sort of like saying a felon cant have a gun. That's all well and good, but until you catch them in possession of it, it does nothing.
Most jobs now days involve an internet device. even attending school, or starting college would be impossible.

I agree that this is absolutely Creepy as hell, and needs to be stopped. I am just not sure how...
for example, how closely can you approximate someone's face and say, "oh that's not that person, it just looks similar..."?
Or, this is not that THAT person, its a similar look alike... and sure, this look alike could be a 16 year old girl, but could, also, be an 18 year old girl.
She is not real. She has no verifiable age....

there's quite a few mouth-breathers on here that love typing played out shite like that. The other MBs eat it up just like they've ate it up for the last decade.

Lancaster Country Day is my Alma Mater. I grew up in neighboring Hershey and I can tell you that there are zero Amish kids attending that school. LCD is the closest thing to Newman in New Orleans that Central Pennsylvania has besides boarding schools. Despite being a shitty student, I got into a good private college because of the school. I ended up graduating from LSU because I was a shitty college student too.

Public lashing on bare arse, 5 per kid.
I guarantee they won't do it again after that.

The law should penalize the creation of AI video created to mimic a realistic depiction of a living person with intent to cause them psychological or reputational harm. There should be an enhancement on it if the victim is a minor, and maybe a further enhancement if the victim is under 13.
I think that would survive an 1st Amendment issues, but haven't fully researched it.

I would definitely support the law.
I’m no lawyer… but I think it presents challenges from a prosecution standpoint. Such as, how closely does the depiction in the video have to resemble the supposed victim? Who decides if it “looks like” that person?
For example: hypothetically, a high school kid created an adult video or image depicting a blonde person about the same age.
Some say it depicts a classmate, but person who created it says, “it’s an entirely fictitious person who is just similar to that person”.
How do you prove if it was meant to be that person? Who decides if the AI creation is close enough to say it depicts that person?
Another point- “with intent to cause psychological or reputational harm…”
It’s hard to prove a person’s intent, absent other corroborating evidence like a witness telling you, “they told me they were doing it to hurt that person”. Etc.
It’s just tough to prove. But I certainly think we have to set precedents and laws…
I’d be in support of a law that very clearly says, if using AI to create adult/nude content is a crime….
There is enough of that already out there, without AI…
