I hope we are working on effective anti-ICBM countermeasures. Being able to take a country's nuclear threat off the table would reorder the world.

Something that would take out an intercontinental ballistic missile. Like Israel's Iron Dome but for nuclear-armed missiles. We have things like that (THAAD and possibly Reagan-era Star Wars satellite systems) but they are not fast enough to work properly. A energy weapon like a laser or maybe a hypersonic missile might work. Nuclear war is our country's only existential threat. I'd be shocked if we were not working on something like this.

I’m pretty sure that most global powers are able to do this, it’s well known that WiFi routers can map the inside of a house, and even give an accurate idea of where people are sitting inside the house at any given moment. They are able to 3D scan rooms of your house using WiFi routers
