My father hated that I was obsessed with playing cops and robbers and constantly beating up the "bad kids" , I didn't kill any puppies so he didn't think I had a future in law enforcement, but that's exactly where I ended up.

Was your father a straight man? Would you compete over who got to use it? I don’t understand.

Well, one incident I was specifically thinking of among others when creating this thread was my dad hated rugrats to desth because Angelica reminded him of someone he knew so we were banned from watching it because it might be a bad influence

He didn’t care much about me watching “Good Times” or “The Jefferson’s” because he was a racist.

My dad loved it. He used to walk around the house saying "Are you threatening me?"

My dad disliked music. Any kind of music, hated it. Always thought that was weird.

I came home with a pierced ear when I was 14 in the mid-eighties and my dad yanked it out. Thankfully it didn’t tear my ear lobe.

Yes it was the left ear.

My dad had an irrational hatred of anything dealing with the smurfs.
