I mean you shouldn’t really have to go into any bad areas unless you try to.

I guess I’m fortunate enough that I live in a nice area and that I haven’t noticed this in my 26 years as a Houstonian.
to the OP: Nancy’s Hustle & Nobies for best food for $. Pit Room and Candente for best BBQ/Mex respectively. Le Jardinier if you want Michelin star. ‘93 Til is the best burger in town and a well kept secret. MAD is my overall favorite in the city (tapas) and FLORA is the most beautiful restaurant.

So the wife and I are planning a weekend trip to Houston to just kind of explore the city and find some fun things to do.
Any place you visit for fun will be safe.
Fun places to go tend not to be in shitty neighborhoods… unless you and your wife are into human trafficking.

Actchyually bitch bag…Dallas, actual fricking Dallas not Grapevine or SouthLake or Mesquite has 1.3 million people.
Houston has 2.3.
Houston has 2.3.

Nobie’s…and the rest of their restaurants…need to turn the volume down on the music.
I went to Nonno’s Pizza a couple weeks ago and the volume level at which they were playing Webbie would have made any Tigerland bar proud.

Nobie’s. Don’t know what you are referring to. Not a chain. Small bungalow off of S Shepherd

Can we stop saying The Woodlands and Houston in the same thread. It takes 2 hours to get there on a Friday from central Houston. Over an hour with no traffic. These are different cities. When we go to concerts in The Woodlands we get a fricking hotel room for the night. Literally no people from Houston are compelled to visit restaurants in The Woodlands

Auto correct bruh.
They also own a pizza joint…the aforementioned Nonno’s and The Toasted Coconut next door on Richmond.

Check out Songkick app for some fun concerts in the area. If you like country-Armadillo Palace is a small and fun venue in a nice part of town. The Rustic (a regional chain) always has free music and the food is pretty good. Brunch is amazing.

I’d forgotten that… haven’t been to either, but can attest to Nobie’s as the real deal. I guess as we get older the “turn it down” impulse ratchets up, am I right-bruh ?

Nobie’s kinda reminds me that of what Roost was when it first opened …solid neighborhood restaurant…a gem if you’re within walking distance.
