Have you ever lived Uptown? I have found it to be the exact opposite in all my years here. I lived and worked in BR for a while and found people there to be not as friendly and clique-y... I found it very easy to make friends upon moving to NOLA years ago.

Doubt it. They don’t like outsiders hunting in their woods. Even though myself and our hunting club spend lots of money at their local businesses

I go there often for work and that’s some of the best people around. You might be the one with the bad attitude

During hurricane cleanup, the traveling electrical crews working out of Winn said that area up to Ruston was some of the nicest people they have ever encountered anywhere. They were mostly from Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and other northeastern states.

Oh I’ve heard of it, was just hoping for some more info. I’ve spent some time down there and heard some stories.

Lafayette is by far the best place in the state to live, period.

Why tho? I’m in town about every week. It has a good selection of local restaurants per capita. Downtown is nice. But the infrastructure SUCKS!
People are friendly, but if you’re not originally from there, it’s a hard place to move into.

Orleans. Mix of fundamentally-arrogant uptowners, quasi-arrogant Garden District and Lakeview types, NO East/Central City thugs who will literally murder you, Marigny stinky SJW assholes, and Algiers faux arrogant people trying to ignore that they live on the Wank.
