A combo of U2 and Green Day would do well at Tiger stadium

So Brooks performed for Biden, I’m very conservative, and could not care less. If he used his concerts where people paid to be entertained with his music to push a political viewpoint that would be a issue. Most of may favorite musical artist are liberals, I read a lot of books written by liberal authors. Imposing self censorship on what you choose to see or hear based on political leanings sounds a lot like a leftest concept.

Agree 100%

Also makes for a miserable existence since 90% of everything is owned by liberal leaning people

Billy Joel is playing Notre Dame’s stadium in a couple weeks and that’s been sold out for more than a year. Add the extra 40,000 capacity of Tiger Stadium and it would still be a sellout.

Billy Joel hasn’t sold out Minute Maid Park for this September

There’s probably only a handful of people living that still could

Fwiw. If he came back next week I’d go again, it was a great show

Yeah. Circa ‘72-‘75, absolutely.

I think he put something like 88,000 in the Astrodome during the rodeo in like ‘74.

I saw Billy Joel at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas back in February. Good crowd, but not even close to a sellout.

I don’t know, that wouldn’t have seemed like Elvis. He was a horse. I’m pretty sure he played a full set.

I think y’all are selling Adele very short.
In 2015/16 she sold out her entire US tour in 5 minutes. 10 million people tried to get 750k tix. She also pretty much shut down several Australian cities, selling out huge cricket grounds and rugby stadia.

Her Las Vegas residency shut down Ticketmaster.

I’m pretty sure she could sell out TS quickly, even if tix were higher priced. People would come from a thousand mile radius.

I have spoken.

Jesus.

BTW it says a lot about your city when a country music concert is the biggest thing to happen in recent memory.

But at least it attempted to take attention away from the crime and murder. But couldn’t quite edge out street racing for news coverage over the weekend.

ETA: btw, if it weren't for social media the answer would be quite a few, in 1969 Grand Funk sold out Shea faster than the Beatles did a few years back
