quote:

Robert Evans III, the Jefferson Parish lawyer who led the failed campaign to recall Parish President Mike Yenni, is accused of lying to a judge in order to get more than $200,000 that had been deposited with the clerk of Orleans Parish Court as part of a dispute with Evans' former law partner. On June 6, Evans filed a motion asking the judge to release $207,394.48 that was being held by the court while Evans' case against Cesar Burgos progressed.

quote:

Although he has legal representation in the matter, Evans signed the motion himself. He also certified at the bottom that all the attorneys of record in the case, including those for Burgos, had been served with a copy of the motion. On Monday, Evans' attorney -- John Litchfield, of the firm Berrigan Litchfield Schonekas -- said he did not prepare the motion.

It not so much the bar exam, its character and fitness that needs some overhaul. The application of the so called standards is not uniform and guys like this seem to overpopulate the rolls.

House on park island with two Ferraris.

Let me clarify, I was speaking generally on C&F, not necessarily about the initial admission.
