I love that song. It's a guilty pleasure, along with the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Boston. More than Feeling...transports me back to 1976. I can remember opening the album for the first time and spinning up the turntable like it was yesterday.

ETA: It's a song about remembering your feelings when you hear an old song...

quote:

It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
And I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
Till I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away

Steve Wariner 's. The Weekend.

Reminds me of the summer weekend I had with my girlfriend back in the college days of 1988.

Same. It was the first cassette I bought. Still love the song because of the many memories that come with it.

A lot of them.

Raspberry Beret-Dancing with some married chick at the Branding Iron (I think that was it) in West Monroe, and she was rubbing on the back of my neck and I was hoping her old man wasn't there.

When you guys hear Slow Ride by Foghat (Youtube) you might think of Dazed and Confused. When I hear it, I think of Rod Price, Foghat's lead vocalist, riding a red Honda Elsinore 250 around the PMAC ramps four or five times as fast as he could before the cops came and made him stop.

Second guy from your left.

Apr 28 1978 Foghat Setlist at LSU Assembly Center, Baton Rouge, LA

I sold tees in the PMAC back then and had to be there a couple of hours before concerts. As I walked up I saw a guy speed up the ramp to the right like he had permission to do it.

When he made a loop around the building on the back ramp and came down the left side I could tell who it was. Was in jeans and a tee raising hell before playing what was probably that bands largest tour. Blowing off some steam. I was really enjoying watching it. I've always wanted to reenact it myself. Every time I walk up to the PMAC, I think about it.

"Alone again Naturally" was on the radio when I was a little boy when the call came that my grandfather died. "With a Little Luck" by Paul McCartney was the tune on the radio after I hit a big home run at Sharp Road Park as a kid. I've got tons of these songs.

"Walk of Life" by Dire Straits takes me back to college and day drinking with all my friends. Even though it was the early 00's, we used to listen to a ton of Dire Straits.

Ajo, AZ where I grew up is a tiny copper mining town in the middle of nowhere. One time when I was about 13, my family was in Phoenix and I got up early one morning and went and ate at McDonalds by myself and this song was playing. To this day everytime I hear it, it takes me back to that morning.
