I listen to Theo when he’s on Adam Carolla’s podcast and the only specific place around Covington that I could identify was a reference to the I-12 rest area between Hwy 21 and 121. He said that they used to sit on the opposite bank and slingshot stuff at the gays who use it as a pickup spot. It sounded exaggerated but the locale was real.

Dont know if any of that is true but those monkeys would get loose once a year it seemed like.
There was a rope swing down 3 rivers road we would go to a good bit. Whoever would chicken out of jumping off the I12 bridge would have to run up to the monkey cages on the way out and open one. We were all dumb enough to run down the interstate and wave at traffic as we jumped off the bridge, but no one had the stones to hop the fence and run up to a monkey cage.
