I was buying a mirror, I'd never just take a fricking picture of my jeans or anything else I'm wearing. I drove 30 miles to pick up a mirror for my MIL, I resurfaced and painted her bathroom, and the one she wanted was gone. They were so damn cheap I just convinced her to get the one I took a picture of. I cropped the frame out of the picture.

Bunch of haters in this thread.
But what did you expect when consulting a site for fashion advice where the majority of posters probably wear wranglers and boots
And it's clear none of them even know what raw denim jeans are.

Well, to be fair, you really don't need to wash denim all that much, as long as they're not getting shite all over them.
denim is for work. do we really need to keep expanding this?

Probably 6 months or so, then did the first soak. Then another 3 months or so for another soak, then a wash at one year. Really makes the fades come in.
this makes me question whether humanity needs to go on any longer. we have strategy about 'fades' whatever those are, for a pair of freaking jeans.
jeans.
JEANS.

APCs look really good. I like breaking denim in, and I'll most likely step it up next time. Very tough thing to research in the traditional sense. I don't know anyone else wearing raw denim personally, so it's difficult.

Is that the new cool hipster thing? To be as nasty as possible?
Not trolling, but most of us live in south louisiana. My yard hasn't been dry for months. Just walking across the grass kicks up water and mud. Im all for not washing jeans, but let's be real, 4 months is going on hippy.

My MIL had a wall to wall mirror in her bathroom and a shitty counter surface. She bought a new counter and I installed it, finished the sheetrock corners, textured and painted the walls, caulked up the corners (probably shouldn't have used white) then bought and installed a mirror for her. Wife said her mom needed help and I offered to do it all.

Trying to talk construction now to avoid looking like a mary.

I own a shite ton of raw denim, from Kicking Mule to JCrew to Tellason and Raleigh Denim. My best pair in terms of fit has been Tellason. If you can afford a pair of Wallace and Barnes Japanese Selvedge Chinos, those are also excellent.

I was ready to finish the project, she was getting a mirror that day. I couldn't believe how cheap that shite was at TJ Maxx.
Still couldn't believe they didn't finish the sheetrock underneath the mirror, the corners were just two sheets of rock next to each other. I've never even finished that shite before and just gooped the mud in with a putty knife. I sanded that shite for hours and made a huge mess, but it came out perfect. Did not wear the jeans during this project.

What is the problem? I like buying American made things. The raw denim industry is one of the American manufacturing success stories of the past decade.

You millennial kids are dumb as shite.

Douchey guys that wear raw denim are immune to their own stitch so they think it's okay to keep rewearing pants without washing them. Eww!

I'm 42. I graduated LSU in 97 and 00, and haven't had a weekday without a job since 2002. I'm no kid.
