Child molesters though, it seems like they're looked at as less than human. So anything goes
Prison systems are not dumb. They know how to separate likely victims and likely inside the wall criminals. Sure things happen, but most of the time its between gangs or because of the sheer numbers of prisoners.
Honest question, when was the last time something happened like a shanking to a "celebrity" in prison?

There are codes in prison. I'd bet he is in PC as someone else said with child molesters, snitches, and other rapist to protect him from the other prisoners. Though if a shot caller green lights him..won't matte
This is a fantasy that inmates have this noble code. Sometimes a child molester will get beat up but this idea is overblown.

Don't know..he raped women
I don't think that is generally frowned upon by dudes in prison, it in fact probably gets you invited to the cool kids table during lunch

Jared Fogle the subway guy supposedly got beat up. But you’re right, Cosby is not the type of inmate who’ll be mistreated.

Because the felons enjoyed all the lectures from the hypocrite as they were growing up?
His message was good, even if he turned out bad. I don’t understand the hostility towards the message.

Cosby on the first week.
Cosby after a month.

I guess that depends on what you consider a celebrity. Who's more famous, Jared from Subway or Jeffrey Dahmer?
I agree that someone like Bill Cosby, who is an actual celebrity, will be fine in prison. Even if he was in gen pop, I don't think anyone would mess with bill cosby. I just don't think the same holds true for someone who is most commonly known as "the subway guy" and is a pedo
ETA: Also this Jared Fogle Constant Target of Prison Beatings

Cosby's first prison meal at SCI Phoenix was baked meatballs and rice, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy,
One of his commercials back in the day was welcoming some kid to the Del Monte green bean team.

Supposedly Cosby is blind. That fact and his celebrity status ensures he will never be near physical danger. Pennsylvania Department of Corrections will do everything to guarantee he is safe at all times because they don't want the bad publicity if something did happen.
Nothing happened to Tyson and there was probably tons of inmates who wanted the rep from taking out Iron Mike. Tyson was in general pop if I remember correctly, so it would have been easy for someone to shank him.

Cosby will be popular in the clank...and know one is going to frick with him. The general population will protect him like he is the king in that joint.
That’s what I was thinking. They’re going to love him in there.

Dahmer war murdered.
Jared had his subway pushed in and then beat up
Probably more but then again not many celebs do hard time

You have been watching too many movies.

Cosby will get shanked in short order. Someone trying to make a name for themselves.

More of a was than an is. Too many women to act like he is innocent.

Freaking subway Jared is still alive
Yeah, but I think they had to move him because he wasn't safe where he was originally assigned.

He’ll be spending his time in the infirmary with the other old timers playing gin.

I found the article.

According to Levine, prisons have a hierarchy, with varying degrees of respect shown for a wide-ranging array of offenses. Sexual assaults against children, he says, are considered the most deplorable crimes.
quote:
“There’s a pecking order in prison, and at the top, you’ve got the guys who’ve killed people – gang members, organized crime affiliates,” Levine starts. “People like Jared are at bottom, with the rats and the snitches. No prisoner wants to associate with a child molester. Jared is going to have a hard time as he works his way through the system. No one wants to befriend or associate with someone like that.”
