I think this says more about your socio-economic group than anything else.

Not really. Just go back to the early 90's and mocking metros was the norm.

Generally, the most material criticism of this group is that they can be very closed-minded

I'm genuinely open minded. Having a preference does not make me close minded. People from every SES mock other people; this isn't unique to the middle class. I like soft, touchable hair. Dandy men have never been my thing (probably due to my middle class upbringing). As I said earlier, plenty of women ARE into it, so it's no harm, no foul. We all like what we like.

I'm far from a metrosexual

In fact, I don't think anyone I know would ever refer to me in that way. I do take care of myself though, and dress well. There's a fine line between that and being a metrosexual, as well as being a guido.

But you WERE serious about the rattail...right?

Cause we are about to break up before we even get started if you were joking! They are a family tradition for the LCAs...

haha. I'm not even accusing you of being metrosexual! Mo wanted to take it to sarcastic extremes by implying that it's all or nothing with his "I didn't realize" barber comment. My boyfriend has the neatest appearance of most any man I know; his hair & clothing are always extremely neat. I never said or implied that caring about one's appearance is a bad thing.

It's always been a tactile thing for me. I'm touchy, and like hair I can touch. The one time I dated a guy who used a lot of hair product, it was hard to get used to not being able to touch his head. It's the same reason I prefer my partner not to shave his body. I'd prefer soft hair to stubble.

Would you consider me one of those types?

I spend the entirety of 30-45 seconds a day when I get out of the shower in the morning, 'doing my hair'
