I have Cox but not in BR.

I bought a new router and modem and finally started getting the 300 down, 30 up speed for which I paid. I thought I had updated equipment, but apparently not. Bought the new stuff through Amazon rather than "renting" with Cox.

I dropped home Internet. Frequent outages and slow speeds that ATT could not or would not resolve. I just use my phone.

72 down, 9 up.

Pretty sure I pay for higher listed speeds, though I am pretty far from the router.

Not with Cox, have dsl with century Link. That's the only thing available where I'm at aside from satellite. I get almost 8 down and almost 1 up. That's a bit faster than 4G coming down, so it is good enough.

I'm pretty lucky, we have AT&T gigabit fiber. Before that, satellite internet which is as bad as it sounds.

I'm not sure how far away if we're talking about a straight line. It's in my bedroom closet with the rest of the house networking and cable, and I am in my office. Office is front of the house, bedroom back, but the closet sort of leads back towards the front, so through walls, maybe 20 feet.

What kind did you buy? I’m renting one from Cox now and it bothers me when I happen to think about it.
