so Im gonna be moving, and I was checking on internet/tv packages on apparently I have to give my SS # so they can run a credit check to get a monthly bill

I have a direct line to an att rep. Idk if he could do Houston but I bet he could. I do $135 a month or so for internet and att tv (new digital live streaming box, pretty neat). I feel like it is taxed by state

Yep I’m building a house and called to set mine up and they wanted that. Thought it was weird but they only ran a soft pull so it didn’t show up.

it's why they would require a Social Security number for a monthly bill but they pointed out was no contract just month to month
