Coke released New Coke. Then they released Coca Cola Classic, which was touted as the original flavor, except it had corn syrup instead of sugar.
If they skipped New Coke and just changed the ingredients of their original, everybody would notice and hate it. New Coke was on the shelves just long enough for us to not notice the small difference between their first and third formulae.

Huh. Didn’t think that was a conspiracy. The ridiculous political duopoly that we have where both parties have basically called a cease fire when it comes to attracting moderates so they can both cater to their fringes seems to me to be more than enough evidence.
