Of course. The debate here is not over whether or not to trust science, but the corruption of "science" such that our institutions are intentionally feeding us partial information or selectively using shitty data to sell a social engineering solution. That's not science.

Of course, I think you're guilty of doing some of the same on the other side. For example, using 99.7% in discussing groups where that number isn't applicable. I don't know why some of you engage in the same narrative manipulation in trying to point out the lies of the other side - maybe you think it's necessary for the battle.

I've been kind of laughing at you over this, but I see Ron Johnson is on your side.

I’d argue feeding your kid fruity peebles every morning is every bit as dangerous in the long run.

We are a very unhealthy people in general but yeah anti-vaxxers are the big problem.

I say it's their choice. As with any choice, there are consequences of those choices.

Not vaccinated, don't run to the hospital if you get sick
Not vaccinated, be prepared to pay for your own hospital stay if your insurance makes a choice not to cover Covid Infections.
Not vaccinated, be prepared to find another job if your current gig decides to require workers to be vaccinated.
Not vaccinated, be prepared to be denied entry to businesses that require everyone to show proof of vaccination; it's their choice.

The anti-vaxxer are not the only people who have the right to choose.

A lot of this is fine if you just ignore how we handle every other healthcare decision in this country.

Less than a decade this country fought a moral battle over preexisting conditions, plenty of which are in part the result of voluntary choices, and many of those are far more problematic than COVID.

From your own paper

Most ignorant and selfish people on the planet, yet they call people who do get vaccinated sheeple. Ironic.

This is nature's way of killing off the weak in the herd. Then when they are drowning in their own fluids from Covid, they are begging for the vaccine. How many kids are orphans
now because their parents were dumbasses?

This bump will spotlight how we've conflated the previous definition of anti-vaxxer (which were people who wanted to get rid of vaccines) with someone who is anti-vax mandate and doesn't think every kindergartener and healthy college kid should be forced to get it .

yup.

Some of you are just flat out nuts. Amazes me how the "tolerant" people are actually the least tolerant when they disagree with you.

We should apply your Healthcare ideas to every self-imposed health issue. Then I would be okay with them.

Yeah I don’t get this. If you are a parent and especially if you overweight you should get the vaccine for your kids.

Im sure most everyone (especially if you are in Louisiana or other states with low vaccine rates) knows of families that lost a parent cause they chose not to get vaccinated and lost that gamble….

Covid targets unhealthy people and yet you NEVER HEAR that simply making healthy choices will go a long way in protecting someone. The answer simply is take the shot and you will be ok until heart disease or diabetes or something else comes calling.

Uh, we constantly remind patients about BMI and trying to improve their diet. Given that people are fat as shite, compliance is going about as well as educating you morons on immunology. Also there is a meaningful difference between metabolic diseases which cause sequelae which have diffuse social costs, spread out over a long period of time, and a directly infectious disease spread through droplet transmission.

Honestly probably not that many, unless you're including kids who have been orphaned for reasons other than the rona

No shite. Are you providing COMIRNATY? No you are not.

It is your responsibility to provide your patient with the knowledge that when they receive the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine that you inform them that the vaccine is currently not an FDA approved vaccine. That is not me saying it. That is the FDA.

I hope you are providing that information to your patients.

And somewhat understandably. I was pro-vax before, got the COVID vax, am glad I got the vax, and am nonetheless pretty adamantly opposed to many of the arguments/pushes I see to vaccinate children (re: COVID).

I suspect that's a really common position now and that those sort of caveats will make it increasingly difficult to discuss vaccines/anti-vaxxers going forward
Pretty much exactly where I am.
