Emotionally susceptible moms who get guilted into believing this bullshite after watching one facebook video.
Take every opportunity to shut that shite down when you see it on your feed.

It's crazy to me that people would rather have their kid (or someone else's) die of something totally preventable than be autistic.

How about vaccinating your kid you a-hole

There isn't one single piece of scientific evidence that shows vaccines are bad for you
No drug is 100% safe, all vaccines have side effects, some can be very serious. The standard used is do the benefits of a vaccine outweigh the risk of using it, today that threshold is being met, but like any other drug, future study can change that,There is a long list of drugs that have been removed from the market after years of what were thought to be safe usage. I would have no problem with vaccinating my kids today, but continue to remain cautious and informed as anyone with good sense concerning their children's health.

The overwhelming ignorance displayed in this thread, which exists in both the vax/anti vax camps, compels my response and I can more than defend, first hand, my position, while also providing an education to the vast majority of obviously younger posters herein, who apparently have no have reasonable historical knowledge of such matters.
"fool, foolish, idiot, idiotic, selfish, a-hole, blind, fricking crazy, nuts, public menace, moron, dangerous, stupid, bat shite crazy, delusion(al), dumb arse, bioterrorist, dumb fricker, and pro-plague"...WOW!!! Ready to get some education youngsters? Then strap yourself in.
1)Do you really think that vaccinations can entirely protect your child? Have you held your only child, a 5 year old daughter who had never been sick a day, while she died, 24 hours after returning from Disney World after contracting a virus that not even CDC could identify? I HAVE! And she was vaccinated.
2)Have you held your infant son while he experienced grand mal seizures on one side of his body for 24 hours beginning 45 minutes after receiving a combo vaccination? I HAVE! He is now age 22 and is profoundly autistic. While I will not state that the vaccination "caused" his autism, I will emphatically state that the vaccination caused a severe traumatic neurological event to one side of my infant son's brain.
3)Have you any knowledge of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund, a 1996 Federal mandate which required that a portion of the fee for all vaccinations be held by the Federal government for the payment of vaccine related injuries? Do you think that the Federal government knew a problem existed? The fund was so overwhelmed it became insolvent quickly and limited claim payments to only those who could clearly prove, via documented evidence, that the vaccination had effectively made the child into a "vegetable".
4)Do you think that the vaccination schedule/protocol has always been the same as currently? Go research it. You will find that several changes were made at a single time. Do you think the government knew a problem existed?
5)Conspiracy? Let's just say that, at least for a period of time, a convenient circular protection existed covering government, pharma, and the physicians where none faced any culpability.
I do take great offense at the vitriolic labeling by persons who have extremely limited to nonexistent knowledge of the subject matter. I am a widower and single parent, and truly pray that none of you experience any of the things which I have. Our other children were educated on the potential risks and benefits and allowed to make an informed decision at an age appropriate level.
Perhaps none of us knows quite as much as we think we do.

Your daughter was vaccinated against a virus the Center for Disease Control couldn’t fricking identify ?
Posted on 2/11/19 at 7:19 pm to jackmanusc
Did not say that. She was fully immunized and died from an unidentified virus.

I’m going to preface this with sorry about your losses, but now to get into the gravy:
No, I don’t know if I’m driving one day and a drunk driver doesn’t plow into the side of my car killing my kid. It’s not a guarantee, but you might as well be saying I shouldn’t invest in insurance. Vaccinations help to make sure they don’t die from illness. The reason they didn’t have a vaccination for your kid is because they didn’t know what it was. Sorry, but it’s just the truth.
I’d rather them be autistic than to die from polio or smallpox.
I’m not familiar with it and you haven’t given me enough information whatsoever to work with. Like I don’t know which companies were complicit in this, what kind of vaccinations you’re talking about, or what they did to the vaccinated. You’re going to have to give me a lot more than the government being sued and paying off people.
No, because science is advancing and they’re constantly discovering new things. I’d be concerned if my kid’s vaccination schedule was the same as my father’s back in the 50s. This is simply conspiracy theory territory.
Yeah, they’re called attorneys because people sue doctors all the time if they didn’t come out perfectly.
You are an expert in pain and suffering. You are not an expert when it comes to healthcare. Your horrific experiences do not mean you know more than a licensed physician.
Age appropriate my arse. You tend to have built up several immunities naturally by the time you reach 20. Age appropriate response is to get your kids vaccinated before they can spread measles to other kids. Sorry about your kids, but I find it to be completely assholish behavior to put other kids at risk for far more horrific diseases than autism. I’d never allow my kids to hang out with yours. This should be an additional consideration for parents not vaccinating their kids since you will socially ostracize them due to parents not wanting them within a thousand yards of your kids. They certainly won’t be invited to a sleepover, that’s for damn sure. I’m not having a Polio Party at my house.

Which vaccines do not protect against.... sorry for your loss, but it is by no means an argument against vaccinations.

Whatever dude. Sorry for your loss. But vaccines are not the cause.
Educate yourself, you don’t sound very educated in your post.
Of course the schedule is different now BECAUSE MORE VACCINES EXIST.

I pity people like this to be honest, and I think even I’m susceptible to this given a certain level of trauma. People who have gone through traumatic experiences think they’re a bigger expert than the physicians that studied for thousands of hours. They see their kid dying, relive all the wonderful hours with them, and the doctor doesn’t break down like they do. This is a very human response, but they are wrong and let trauma cloud their judgement. I feel for him, but he is wrong.

Yeah, no shite. I hope my kid is on a different schedule as I was, because if he isn’t, I’ll know I’ve trusted him with a stubborn quack that hasn’t bothered to learn anything since the 1970s. That is not the type of doctor you want treating you.

My aunt died of lung cancer so clearly I am anti seatbelts because of it.
That is that guy’s logic.

There is a legitimate argument that vaccines are the most important human development ever. It's up there with written language and fire in terms of importance and the number of lives that it has saved and enabled.
Anti-vaxxers are the worst of the worst anti-intellectualism. Their position is based on no coherent, logical thought or evidence. These are the people that make the world a much worse place to live in than it has to be.

I greatly anticipate it. I’m really not trying to come across as an a-hole here, but 99% of society sees it as a direct assault to their kids. I am sincere when I say sorry for your losses, but I don’t think it excuses putting other children and society at large at risk.

He doesn't realize it, but his inability to form a coherent argument just validated everything that he attempted to argue against. I'm sorry (if) that stuff happened to his family. It's a cruel world and no one is without tragedy. Vaccines didn't cause his problems though.
