re: What is your measuring stick for if a “pandemic” is real or not?

Did I hear it on the news?

I need to see people dropping dead in the streets

You don’t know.
No one knows.
Didn't know a single person that died from Covid. Didn't know a single person that struggled with Covid.
Anybody that claimed to have gotten Covid, there was no real distinction between what was claimed to be Covid and the normal flu that goes around every single year.
Also of note is that during Covid, the regular flu completely disappeared. It was miraculously one-size-fits-all Covid.

When local news sources use another number besides "33". That number was used extensively for new cases and total cases throughout the country.

Can you name one trustworthy thing about the covid19 outbreak?

I still cannot believe Covid was that smart of a virus that it could not spread during protests.

That reminds me, with the pandemic narrative starting to take shape and the midterms just a few months away, it should be any day now when the media finds their 2026 version of George Floyd. Wonder which city is on the chopping block to burn this time?

If they are not sniping people trying to cross the border, then it’s fake.
During Covid, the mixed signals of an open border during a “pandemic” were comical.
Anyone with even a modicum of critical thinking skills knew it was bullshite.
Yup. Most people are sheep and lack critical thinking skills. I told people at work that it was manmade, and they all thought I was crazy. This is how we become North Korea, one useful idiot at a time.

And that could end up being the most costly legacy of the Covid-19 outbreak. Because if we do get hit with something that spreads like covid but is more lethal and we really do need to act fast to contain it...no one will listen.

Nobody would listen.
Nobody would even entertain the idea.
The hardest part about Covid was the mental stress of being gaslit 24/7 to doubt your own instincts.
For people that never bought in, Covid was a mental crucible of resisting getting mind-fricked for 2-years straight.
Was like living a live-action episode of Black Mirror / Twilight Zone.

With widespread, global air travel, if a lethal strain of flu does come around, by the time anyone knows, it will already be too late to contain it.

The most costly legacy is the intentional destruction of the global economy and devaluing every US dollar in existence by printing $7 trillion dollars.
People bitch about high prices 6-years later but cannot make the connection.
They stole from every single person on earth by devaluing their savings income and all other assets.
An unbelievable course of events.

Right...Just try to .mitigate spread as much as possible to flatten the curve as we did initially with covid to try to keep health care facilities from being over run. It may not be possible. As many in this thread prove, folks will balk at authorities until bodies start stacking and parents are burying children.

Another points at following standard quarantine protocols is excessive.
Would standard quarantine protocols for a global Pandemic call for shutting down international travel, especially the illegal variety from 3rd world countries notorious for poor health standards?

If a government representative's mouth is moving, it's not real.

Actually wasn't the border extremely locked down for COVID? Stated by Trump and kept on by Biden for his first year or two?
Not COMPLETELY locked down, I mean you can be American studying abroad and then mom or dad dies, of course you cross and the same with international business and things like Niagara Falls (best view is from Canada) but overall it was very closed during COVID.

The response to COVID was absolutely retarded, but this isn't true either. For the vast majority of people it was just cold or flu symptoms and they recovered fine. But I know a handful of people who died or had serious issues because no one gives a shite about their health anymore. If you're obese, don't exercise, and eat like shite, it's much easier for something simple to take you down. The people who struggled or died were in that category.

With unserious measures such as masking and staying 6' apart?
Or with real measures such as martial law and field medical services. Things our military actually has planned for real pandemics.

Less than you think. Milgram proved most crave authority. But few realize the truth behind authority. The following quote, by Michael Crichton, found right here on page one, sums it up
“Politicians need fears to control the population. Lawyers need dangers to litigate, and make money. The media need scare stories to capture an audience. Together, these three estates are so compelling that they can go about their business even if the scare is totally groundless. If it has no basis in fact at all. For instance, consider silicon breast implants.”
Plead to authority at your own peril.
