Replication and reproduction is DNA primary directive.

Now that you completed task 1,
You may study out of box and transcend the common pop culture illusions and myths.

Consider secret study.
You will be ostracized if you turn your back on the commonly accepted myths.

My purpose in life is to not have my last thoughts being how I didn't actually live it.

I've had massive issues in my life with anxiety and depression that effectively put a huge damper (because I was so risk averse and negative) on my teens and 20s. I refuse to let it define me, and I have been making it a point to go out and take chances now. I will be moving to a brand new city in the near future, making new friends, and hopefully building a family. I want to hike the AT and other long trails, and become a certified skydiver so I can take my eventual kids and niece up with me.

Learning new shite motivates me...
- figuring out whatever issues are going w my cars, house, bikes, whatever
--- currently that's my garage door opener: replaced the "seeing eye" circuit but it's still flaky
--- also my jeep, truck, and wife's suv are due for new fuel filters
- started playing with the Google Android Dev environment, gonna build something useful
- learning the wide world of Azure cloud computing
- want to learn more about coding the Internet Of Things
- this year gonna figure out how to do longer term backpacking, not just overnighters
- want to plan to build a pole barn to cover up my truck, trailers, tractor, etc.

The list is endless.

My two oldest (twins) just graduated college last year and i went through a tough time when they left for good. If you are close to your children it leaves a hole.

But, chrome_daddy has it right, you now have the opportunity to do things that have been on hold.

We are going to Europe for 3 weeks (thats been planned for at least 5 years), My youngest son and I are doing 10 days on the Appalachian Trail in September (We did 10 days 3 years ago and just werent able to make it back), I'm getting a Masters in Strategic Studies not for any reason other than I enjoy studying it.

After you get through the rough part it can be liberating. Enjoy.

The last couple of years I've embraced spirituality. Not any particular religion but the idea there is something bigger than us holding us together and being able to tap into that stream of consciousness.

Today's art reflects the emptiness that many of us feel imo. It's become a soulless world pushing consumerism, pop culture, accepted social norms etc. I generally find meaning in nature, and try to express that and pass it on to others, which gives me great satisfaction

We're all hard wired differently. Some of us are meant to push through barriers and achieve, some of us are here to create, some to motivate and others to enlighten. . Most of us don't have a clue and probably never will.

I think we are overdue for a late 1960s and 1970s style quest for meaning where people dropout of traditional institutions and rediscover individualism and have a thirst for truth and purpose. Society is so sterile and repetitious, the new generation coming of age will reject it imo.
