For a restricted ATP, yes. But none of the majors will hire you at 750.

you got your current gig because you saw what you wanted and didn't stop kicking arse until you got it, treat the airlines the same way, get your name in the hat and let them make the call, and I'm speaking from experience on this, now is the perfect time and seniority is the name of the game in this business

Agreed. Was planning on studying for the test over the deployment this summer and getting my ATP after. I’ll be applying in the fall but only with 800 hours or so. Gonna give it a shot but not gonna hold my breath.

this is the perfect storm for being in your position, don't let up on this, when I was in your same position, half or more of that guard unit was with my present company, some on furlough, a couple of them not, all I heard was "don't bother putting in an app until... fill in the blank, I was beating on everybody's door, DAL, AA, UAL, everybody, came in from flying one day and was at a bud's house having a cold one and his phone rings, another guy from the airline calling had just found out that they were going to start interviewing the following Monday, tells him to FedEx his paperwork to him so he could walk it in, this was on a Thursday, I didn't even ask the dude to help me, I got on a jet to their hq the Sunday before day one of interviews, went to pilot recruitment and the secretary was there getting ready for the next day, "may I help you?" handed her my packet and she tells me to be there the next morning at 8am, that was 35 years ago this month, I've been a captain for 31 of those years, a 777 CA for the last 20, moral of the story: keep that burner lit until you get here

Ticket broker.

For sporting events and concerts.. Just list your tickets each day on sites like StubHub, Seatgeek, etc.. monitor the price for a few minutes each day to see if the demand is up, down or steady.. Literally just a few clicks on the iPad or laptop, and you’ve done your day’s ‘labor’.. Now, it does take some skill in terms of having a little knowledge of which games are going to be the best matchups, or which touring acts will command higher prices for concerts... but you can do your job remotely, from anywhere in the world that has internet access.. Belize, Malaysia, Hawaii.. it doesnt matter.

I’ve done some small-time ticket brokering in the past; i have some season tickets in my name for certain NCAA & NFL football all teams, but i’ve only made some supplemental income so far.. in order to really make a living at it, you have to have a LOT of capital to invest in season tickets for a lot of teams, and some luck in that some of those teams need to make the playoffs so you can make the big money... but hey, sites like Stubhub and the rest are sticking it to us all, i figure i might as well participate in some of their profits.. cant beat ‘em, join ‘em.

A dream job, that is a stupid concept. I have dream hobbies. Ranching and maintaining large swaths of prime hunting habitat would just about do it for me.
