1 perfect dog. No cats. Spent yesterday in a house that smelled like 20 years of cat urine and it was disturbing.

One inside cat. I feed 4 feral cats (colony) that was part of a catch and release program in my neighborhood.

I have a Frenchie and a Weimaraner ...

The Weim is a stubborn a-hole with attachment issues

The Frenchie is a straight up lunatic.. and has some of the worst gas a dog could possess I swear

And there are 2 more reasons I'm over dogs. My neighbor is a rescue person who had 3 dogs at the moment and one of them is a barker who is relentless when they are not home. The only good thing is they are indoors, but the SOB stands at the front door constantly barking until their car pulls up.

And yes, dog farts are some of the worst smells I've even encountered. They love to crop dust you with their SBD's when you're least expecting it and it hits you like napalm.

Two dogs—a 10 year old neurotic Malinois mix that still runs like a greyhound and a 1 year old heeler husky mix that terrorizes the other one but keeps her spry.

Husband says when the Malinois is gone there will not be a replacement. He is wrong.

At our house in the country a tortoiseshell cat simply shows up and hangs out with us on the porch when we are there. Not sure what he does when we aren’t. Hopefully eats mice.

Our house, it's a very very very nice house. With two cats in the yard and two dogs in the house. We buy food for them once a month, the dogs pick up ducks in the fall. The cats don't do shite buy lay around.

3 cats
2 turtles
30 or so Madagascar hissing cockroaches
Tarantula
Some Japanese beetle in the pupa stage that my wife (no pics) is raising
A crawfish that survived a boil back in March and is still alive!

And while technically not pets we feed the anoles that hang around the porch and garage mealworms. They eat out of the kids’ hands

1 Labradoodle who is working hard trying to be the best dog I have ever had.

A breeding pair of zebra acara (get about $75/fry) in a black water aquarium.

I know this feeling all too well. Lost my girl in March, and I've casually looked at dogs, but I'm not ready yet.

We just have 1 cat, who is getting up there in age. When she is gone, we will probably go a few years without a pet.

As someone who's been there, go for it. Got my boxer in college, he only lived 8 years (frick cancer) but he was the best damn dog there was. I went two years thinking I'd never get another, but we got a rescue and he's great.

1 dog, 1 cat.

Used to have one, my son’s, and used to put him on the patio to get sun until he got out, it didn’t end well. Had to have that circle of life discussions.

Two box turtles and a cat. I have had the one of the box turtles for close to 30 years, and the other for 10. The cat is 12.

Lost my GSD 14 years ago and it still makes me gun shy.

My favorite dog that comes to see me at work was put down this week. I take it very hard.
