I was employed by WWOZ as the over night blues dj for years. Worked midnight til 2am. Have an offer to go to go ground zero.

fricking go for it. Last time I was in Memphis, I was pushing a 1980s pink limo down the road that ran out of gas while on a layover looking for a party. Went to the sketchiest parts of town. Will never go back.

The businesses there have all installed fences to try keep people from breaking in/looting. That’s a clear sign that I would never want to live in that shithole.

I place it on the same level as BR and Nola. Sketchy fricking areas. Poor as people who are also pieces of shite make up the majority of the city and it leaders. But, there are very fun things about it. as long as you live in a decent area then you’ll be fine.
Also, go to Memphis. Go to Coletta's on S Pwky. There are multiple, and this one is in a sketch area, but only go to this one. Order their bbq pizza. Life will be changed. If I’m on death row and I get a final meal request, it would be their pizza from that specific location.

I liked living there from 2011-2015. Collierville is a great suburb.
Cooper Young and Overton Square are nice if you want to be in the city near lots of bars and restaurants.
