My sister’s kids go to Starbucks all the time and they’re in elementary school. I’ve never understood it.

As others have noted, but you probably wouldn't think twice about them going to McDonalds and getting a value meal with a large drink. About 800 calories and a shitload of sugar.

There is nothing wrong with coffee or the coffee drinks in moderation.

That lemon cake is served at multiple locations.

It is a recipe. Unless he pastry chef effed it up, it should be identical everywhere. Pastry is the easiest thing to replicate.

I do agree that it is good.

You're Cajun and think drinking coffee in 4th or 5th grade is young for coffee. I think I stated around 5 or 6 years old, though it was as much milk as coffee.

ETA: Now

you would think so, but to me it's not, the ones in TX taste like they used a Betty Crocker mix and left it sitting out for a few days, their steaks are pretty bad too, considering as how they market, and price, themselves as being an upper end steak joint

I just looked at the menu for the Manhattan one. It’s word for word the exact same at the one in uptown Dallas.

There’s 18 double eagles, I doubt one is so much better than the others.

My kids like to drink milk or water out of coffee cups to be like there parents. It’s called pretending

When I was a kid they used to sell candy cigarettes so that you could pretend like you were smoking.

I never drank coffee cause my mom is addicted to it. Can’t function without it. Never understood why people train their kids to drink it by putting cream and sugar in it to get them started.

well people give their kids sodas and sweet tea, not a whole lot of difference. I'm very sensitive to caffeine, so I never drink much of it.

The 8 yr old bikes over to the Starbucks on saturdays and picks me up a grande caramel mocha latte. I give him enough to get himself a venti Americano. That's a good starter coffee for a kid his age.

Um...shouldn't those be reversed? The second one is grown up coffee, the first one's candy in a cup.

Decaf for my 8 year old. It’s a weekend daytime treat. And “fast food” coffee like Starbucks and CC’s is way more popular and available now than when we were kids

In south Louisiana, we grew up with coffee on all day, drank it as a child whenever I had breakfast. Never thought it strange at all. Of course we didn’t have coffee shops either....
