I drank coffee when I was around that age or younger because I was emulating my dad.

I added a pound of sugar though unlike his black coffee.

I'll go you one better, was at a sidewalk café a few days ago, there was a guy with his son, kid was about 5-6, they were eating a couple of sausages, the kid had a pint of beer, and downed the entire thing while eating his lunch, the old lady(no pics,) has a pic on her phone or I'd post it, when they got up to leave I went over to their table to confirm that it was beer in the glass, it was

We drank coffee with my Papaw at around 6 years old.

Starbucks sells hot chocolate, yes?

You go waste your money at Starbucks?

My great grandma kept me and my sister before we were old enough to go to school. We had coffee twice a day at her house. She'd put about 1/2 coffee, like 8 cubes (old school) of sugar, and the rest milk, in our sippy cups. Been drinking coffee milk every morning since and i'm in my 30's. sometimes i drink it like an adult if i'm out with customers or something.

I remember drinking coffee growing up but the adults fixing it for me seemed to put more milk/sugar than anything. I also remember it being a common belief that coffee could stunt childrens' growth. Not sure if that's been debunked. I ended up being 6'4".

P.S. Starbucks coffee sucks.

Tell me how kids drinking coffee and getting pastries at Starbucks is any worse than the McDonalds sausage biscuit and large coke parents would have been giving their kids in previous generations.

The 8 yr old bikes over to the Starbucks on saturdays and picks me up a grande caramel mocha latte.

I give him enough to get himself a venti Americano. That's a good starter coffee for a kid his age.

He's learning right. He'll pocket a lil something for us to nibble on as we discuss our week over our coffee. Sticking it to the man early, proud over here.

I drank coffee every morning throughout elementary school in the early 90s. Also never ate breakfast.

I'm 6'1'' now. Guess I could've been 6'8'' had I not put that poison in my body at such a young age

I never acted like this was bad, just thought it was strange. I am a multiple cups a day person and its actually proven that coffee is good for you. I just never drink it as child but I guess I am in the minority. Oh and my coffee this morning was $2.85, no where near $10.

Thread title is not right. You're talking about coffee in the thread title, but discussing Starbuck's in the thread.

Starbuck's charges people $4-$10 for your maw-maw's coffee milk in a bottle, IF there's even coffee in the concoction the kids choose. They also serve tea, iced tea, and soft drinks, so it's not all coffee these kids are drinking.

Sad, kind of, that a crap company and products, somehow has such social cache in our society. :(
I was that young when I started.
