90% of them end up transferring back to BRCC when they do a ton of coke and fail out of bama.

I went to a BR high school then LSU. 80 % of my class went to LSU. Looking back , it was a mistake and I should've tried to go somewhere else. A small private school like Hendrix or Tulane. I wouldn't go to Alabama or UGA though

Baton Rouge fricking blows.

Ole Miss is a fricking awesome college experience, as is Alabama.

Tuscaloosa has always seemed a lot like BR to me. I get how Oxford gives you a decidedly different "feel," if that's what you're going for, but Bama, not really.

And they can get in. UGA is the mecca of all SEC schools for kids who want to leave their home SEC state. But most cant get in

Why is it puzzling? New experiences.

Ahh yes, nothing beats the smell of Nascar in the morning.

This isn't a European foreign exchange program. It's Tuscaloosa ALABAMA and Oxford MISSISSIPPI, and while the name Oxford might give you pause for a second, it's nothing resembling an experience one might find in Oxford England. It's still Mississippi and Alabama.

I somewhat agree.

Oxford is a small safe town with a really cool culture. Better live music than Baton Rouge, hotter women, safer, etc.

Its a blast and I wouldn't trade my Ole Miss experience for anything in the world. And I wore my LSU swag to class and sporting events all the time.

Cant speak for the BR kids, but as a Bama student from a good New Orleans school, a good deal of kids from my graduating class went to Bama, Georgia, and Ole Miss. I know almost everyone I graduated with got into LSU, but I know the ones that left just didnt want to go to Baton Rouge with 90% of our graduating class, and these other schools are very similar to LSU in terms of football team, greek life, huge campus, pretty women, etc. Gives an SEC school experience without feeling like your just going to high school again an hour down the road

Are you referring to uneducated rednecks? Trashy people? Louisiana is no better than Alabama or Mississippi in this regard. You need to realize that.

Thats hilarious, but I doubt its true.

John Currence doesn't give a frick about sports. I've had several friends work at Boure, one even a hostess. That does not seem like something that would happen there. Maybe it was slammed and there was a choice between giving you the table or some Ole Miss people that they knew, if which case, get over it, thats life.
