Its most likely an enlarged axilliary lymph node. If it doesnt go down in 2 or 3 weeks I would get it checked out.

This. Although everyone on here will tell you it’s cancer.

At 48 I get everything like that checked out asap. I dont go to the Dr for much, bu I get my arse up there if I think I have a mole that looks funny or stuff like that.

Probably absolutely nothing.

All kinda fun to be had with this one OP, but I seriously wouldn't hesitate to get that checked out.

Go to the doctor. Seriously. Back in 2015 I had one appear under my arm pit and it was pretty painful. It kept growing then turned into a boil. I popped it (very painful) and then before I knew it, I had staph spread to my chest, other armpit, and my nose. I lived with that shite off and on for a year and a half. $2,000 later and many trips to an immunologist later, I finally *knock on wood* think it's been eradicated. Change your soap to Dial anti-bacterial. I always used "deodorant" soap and thought that was good enough until this happened to me. Then I learned that there's actually a huge difference between deodorant soap and anti-bacterial soap. I always thought all soap was anti-bacterial.

Seriously, man. Go to the doctor because you don't want to mess around with staph.

Had something similar in high school, I figured it was an ingrown hair or something. I just kept trying to pop it and finally after a while it did, and holy balls it was nasty. Thankfully I was in the shower at the time. That's my experience with strange armpit lumps.

Just noticed it yesterday. Nice hard lump about 1/2” dia under the skin. It does hurt if I mess with it. Should I start writing my will now?

Switch to spray deodorant for a few days. If it keeps getting larger go see your doctor and have them cut open and drained...Had this happen to me about 5 years ago and they were full of puss.

Hopefully it’s just an “over active gland”. I’ve had them removed on my arm.,.

Good to know.

Solid responses. I am going to give it a little time. I’m thinking it may be viral. I have been feeling kind of under the weather.

Eta. Right pit

perfect timing with this thread.

I LITERALLY am dealing with the same thing right now.

Haven't worn deod in 3 days now and it is gone.

I also have a cold, so Im hopeful it is a swollen lymph node due to being sick, and not something worse.

This is the 2nd time this has happened to me, first time was about 3-4 years ago. Same thing, no deod for a week, no problem.

Likely a cyst from deodorant, but definitely check it out if it persists. You may be able to pop it once it gets closer to the skin's surface.

It’s probably a clogged pore. Try switching from antiperspirant to deodorant.

Ive been using the same deodorant for years. I never switch brands. Now could it go bad? It usually takes me a few months to go through one stick.

Most likely some type of bad ingrown hair, boil, etc. Does it have a whitehead? Post a pic for better assessment.
