I will say this, every time I've been to El Paso I've had an amazing time. But that's because I love that side of my wife's family. They are the freaking best. But there still isn't a lot to do there.

Thanks, mainly looking for food suggestions since it's basically mexico. A cowboy steak sounds great.

L and J cafe is one of the most delicious Mexican food places I've ever eaten. They're tostadas are amazing. Plus there is a super old creepy cemetery next door to check out

Like I said its not dynamite food, but Pershing Inn was a really nice night out type of place, kind of an outdoor texmex bar, not necessarily a dive but not fancy. It was a good place to have some beers and sit outside.

Don't go to Juarez.
Go see Carlsbad Caverns if you have time.

Buy Lucchese Boots . El Paso Saddlery Holsters, great food. Hit Juarez home of the Margerita but be safe

downtown's meh. but go check out UTEP, even if just to walk around campuses. i always really enjoy going and looking at college campuses when i travel and seeing stadiums and whatnot. UTEPs stadium is built into the side of a mountain and that's cool.
in my work travels, i've got to check out UTEP, Northern Arizona, La Tech, SDSU, UCF, Tulsa, OU, and UNT's stadiums. kinda a random hobby, but as a road warrior, it's a lot of fun to me.

Been to El Paso a few times. Not a bad city actually. Jog down to the border if you're staying close enough. Nice run.

There's a museum nearby that's decent.

FWIW, I've met a lot of El Paso guys in passing and they absolutely love it there.
