I know it varies by person, but what age range does one usually acquire the wisdom that is only attained later in life? This board has some older baws so let’s hear it.

I'm 35 so I hope people don't agree that it's 34.

I'm only 40 something, but I've always felt like an old soul.
(F'n autocorrect geez)
I've always felt wise.

It begins around 27.
At 27 you should realize that you are stupid.
You realize everything you spewed out About life prior to 27 was stupid as frick. From that point wisdom begins. Very very slowly.

At least 35 before most realize these things.

If you aren't questioning everything you have been conditioned to believe by your late 30's you are doing it wrong.

Depends on what you've experienced. Some never get wisdom

I was an absolute dumbass until my late 20s. Mellowed out a good bit in my mid to late 30s. Feeling fairly well grounded in my place in life at 41.

There's truth to this. When you can start to see the illusion, you've started to become wise.

Life got a lot easier at 46, so my answer is 46.

You are a lost cause once that happens unless you rethink your decision. Religious dogma stops the pursuit of wisdom in it's tracks for most people.

That's about when a guy gives up foolish material pursuits and starts to understand himself.

Typical? Many people die idiots. Some people are highly intelligent, but completely lack wisdom. Wisdom is a rare quality that is not always dictated by age. The actual number of wise people I’ve personally met I could probably count on two hands.
