Greenville has been hip and growing for a while now. I'd say Conway, SC or maybe Wilson, NC/Rocky Mount

I think Hattiesburg is great. Not too big, plenty of restaurants and great golf courses. A nice sized university and close to the Florida beaches.

I've got nothing against Hattiesburg. Laurel is kind of a dump though.

Boom will continue in the States with no income tax.

NW Arkansas is great. It's airport is fine (and growing).
Only issue with that area of the world is that it is REMOTE. I mean, it isn't close to any other big town or city for 3+ hours.
Greenville is doing well, but it doesn't have the Walmart OOMPH to get where I think they are going.
As far as dark horses, I can see North Mississippi continuing its growth. In Alabama, Huntsville is growing at an absurd rate.
Only state I can say with conviction that will not experience any boom economically is Louisiana. Not really a town or industry that would convince me otherwise.

Orlando has many of the ingredients to be a great place to live: plenty of land, beautiful springs and lakes, a diverse economy. But unfortunately it has grown too fast and is spoiled. International drive has metastasized.

Good call. You’re in central Florida too so that means Atlantic or Gulf for beach access. Plus not too far from Tampa Bay Area for other things to do and not that bad of a trip to Miami area.

Honestly, probably the I-10 stretch around Covington, Louisiana.
It could be but as long as we have incompetent leadership it will never happen.
Shreveport/Bossier could have been a contender but that ship sailed a long long time ago.

Huntsville is already booming and I think the same could be said for NW Arky to a lesser extent. I don't live in the South any more but from what I've seen I'd say Knoxville/Chattanooga corridor. I know if we were to move back that's the area that would be high on my list. I can agree with Muscle Shoals area as possible boom but that could be considered spillover from HSV.
