I thought you were about to say Nauvoo or Carbon Hill.

My vote would have to be multiple towns in Alabama. Eufaula, Monroeville, Thomaston, Greensboro.....Hell, Fayette is like time travel. Conway Twitty is still number one on the charts and 40 miles from anywhere.

I agree with your statement on Fayette. You need to get up into Winston County. Pre-Civil War mindset there.

Somewhere in Mississippi while on a trip New Orleans I was at a gas station with bulletproof windows and had a Confederate flag outside yet everyone else in the gas station was black. I was very confused

My wife's grandparents used to live in Parrish. I just remember Jasper, Parrish and the aforementioned Cordova being some of the more backwoods, redneck towns I've been in
