Yea I don’t think the place we’re thinking of will be located south of Alexandria. In fact, it probably won’t be near any type of interstate or major highway

It was Mink, La. I've been to Cloutierville many times and apparently that is a booming metropolis compared to Mink.

Interesting side note, I heard a podcast about a company that paid some dude to move out in the middle of nowhere so he could essentially open his own town and be the only voter.

NPR Radiolab.

The podcast was about voting.

The company then "suggested" that he create different motions and vote in certain regulations that were friendly to the company.

It was to change the zoning for use.

Some of you people clearly don’t venture north of I-10 very much. Not that there’s much reason to. But the whole purpose of this thread is to find the most isolated place. It certainly will NOT be in southern Louisiana. No way shape or form.

Don't get service? You don't have to live in a remote area not to get service. GF (no pics) lives off of College and cell service in her neighborhood is atrocious.

The area between Winnfield and Dry Prong is about as remote as it gets. Not so long ago, a small plane crashed in that area. Took a couple of days to find it.
