Lol, a coworker used to always talk about going home to Iowa. I just assumed she meant the state until she told me she went back and forth twice in a day. I asked her if she owned a plane or something

Agreed. I’d go awol if they tried to station me at Fort Polk. It’s awful. Wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

“Iowa, LA” is easily the dumbest pronounciation out of all the ones in the state. It’s like they refuse to go with the norm..

I've been stuck in gumbo on davis island before (technically MS), that was a looong walk out.
