steinway piano. It appraised a few of decades ago for 25k. I inherited it and don't know what's it's worth now.
Most likely worth less if it hasn't been cared for and protected. Nice piece to have in your home though.

I've got a rug that really ties the room together.

It's amazing what people will pay for things that remind them of their youth....and that's a blender...I idolized him. Wish I still had my boards...the condo is long gone.

They are new old stock boards if they are mounted, gripped etc they devalue exponentially. It's not a Monet but it's art to some of us.

OK, I've read through this thread, and I'm the first to say a rug and only one person has said a painting. A piece of furniture can be respectable, but I'd bet in half the people here who listed it that it is something from IKEA. The piano is completely impractical, takes up shite tons of space, isn't nearly as resalable, and can easily break when transferring owners. Rugs and paintings are where any person worth a shite puts their net worth in (save stocks of course). They're usable, transferable, and they're noticed. The 4 most valuable things I own are rugs and paintings, and aside from jewelry, I'd say this is the same for most non-trash people.

I used to play Tony Hawk Pro Skater. That's really all I know about skating. But I never had a beach condo either so...

Buying a material object with the idea that it builds wealth is kind of ridiculous. It's a rug. If you like it, it has value. It's not a commodity though.

You don't know much about rugs then. They're paintings you step on, and so long as they don't stain, they only value with age.

It is still not an investment. It's a possession. Not knocking what you collect simply stating that it doesn't build wealth. It's like women who think jewelry is an investment....an investment should pay a dividend not cover your hardwoods. Buy what you love but don't pretend it is any less trashy than someone else's shite.

My laptop. No telling how much it's cost me in wasted time and the wife's online shopping.

your box pic made me think of what i have out in my garage.
I have a 7000 dollar diesel generator hooked up
Bout 100,000 bucks in a SnapOn box cabinet and tools, ugh thats depressing...I bet I have 4000 dollars in air tools alone which are obsolete because of my collection of electric impacts and ratchets.
