At one time, Chickasaw was as well known as a speed trap as Wilmer, AL.

42 in a 40, but it was like 2:02 and turned into a school zone at 2pm, so it was 25mph. There is no school on the road, the school is accessed by a perpendicular road and the school is 300 - 400 yards away from the road I was on with no chance of there being any actual students around.

Most- 139 in 65 mph zone.

I waited for him when I saw teeny tiny lights in the darkness flashing.

No ticket either ??

Least- 6 over residential.

cops will let you slide as long as you are not 10 over 55+

or more then 5 over 30-40 or under

FYI they dont give you more then 1-2 over any posted school zone limit

Got a lecture for something like 26 in a 25 because I 'accelerated quickly' from a stop sign. I was in a 4cyl Wrangler

Got clocked north of Dothan one Sunday night driving back to Troy. 82 in a 65. I told him it wasn’t possible. Old wrangler that might get to 75 downhill with the wind behind you.

Supposedly

It was in Abita Springs in the late 80's. I was told I was doing 26 in a 25. There was one problem...the LEO didn't have a radar gun. He was "guestimatin" (fricking a-hole). We were about three blocks from the station. I told him I was going to lodge a formal complaint (in person) and that I wanted his badge number. He handed me my ticket (with his badge number on it) and then I went to the station. The chief met with me pretty quickly. I was home on military leave and my "non-mullet" haircut kind of gave that away. He asked me what branch I was in, etc. and then said," while I defend my officers decision, we don't give our military folks tickets around here." He then took the ticket and tore it up. It worked out for me, but man, that place was a major speed trap back then.

42 in a 35. Lafayette around 1978.

Had to go to court for some reason that I don’t remember now. Maybe because I was under 18?

Judge Saloom gave me a choice: driving school or a $25 fine. Thought it was a trick/joke, but I took the fine and quickly walked out of the courthouse.

This is so fricking stupid I don't know where to begin. For starters, the calibration could be off on the radar (or your speedometer) by 3 mph in either direction. I mean, you have to give somebody more than 1 mph to call them "speeding".

Went to court because I was a poor college student looking for an extension and judge threw it out

I was once stopped on Hwy 12 for doing 70 in a 55. It was not possible because I had cruise set on 54. I asked to see the radar it read 55. I still got a ticket for doing 70 in a 55. The bastards excuse was radar must have lost my speed. After 3 visits to McCool Ms the ticket was dropped.
